Desert Trophic Level Diagram
Trophic level diagrams show the energy transfers between each level. It takes the shape of a pyramid because of the low percentage of energy transfer (approximately 10%). Organisms are classified into levels based on whether they are a consumer or producer and their diet. Although not shown in the trophic level diagram (as there were no producers in the animal profiles), there are producers in the desert, such as shrubs.
